Home Brewing with Dad on Father’s Day

Father’s Day is fast approaching, but there is still time to get Dad a unique and thoughtful gift that will go a lot farther than another tie. If dad is into craft beer, we have the perfect gift for him (and yes, it’s even better than just getting him a six-pack of his favorites). Father’s Day is not just about the gifts and cards, after all, but more about spending time with dad – and as we grow up and have our own responsibilities and day to day obligations to attend to, that time is at a premium. What better way to spend Father’s Day with your beer-loving dad than by brewing your own delicious craft beer?

What if dad’s go-to brew is still Miller Highlife? If Dad is new to the craft beer scene, there’s no better way to introduce him than to brew in your own home. “When you make your own craft beer, it gives you a better sense of what makes a ‘good’ beer. Knowing or learning about what different styles of beer consist of in terms of ingredients – barley, malt, hops, and yeast – has been an incredible learning experience in terms of tasting craft beer,” states Jessi Rymill, coauthor of Beer Craft: A Simple Guide to Making Great Beer.

Home brewing is a fun hobby for the entire beer-drinking family (even those that don’t drink beer may jump on the bandwagon!) and a great way to spend time together. When you create something, it can be a wonderful bonding experience – and you can crack open a cold one with dad while you brew!

A home brewing kit can also be the perfect gift for the newer dad. If you want to show your appreciation for all your hubby does for the kids, a home brewing experience is a great way to reward his hard work and give him a little “me time”. Let him invite a few buddies over for a brewing party, or make it a special brewing date for the two of you once the kids are in bed.

The good news, home brewing is made super easy with one of our home brewing kits.
